Hello,
Absolutely. Enable 'multihost access' for those volumes that are part of a cluster or using a cluster filesystem. If you connect two hosts using a non-cluster FS you WILL CORRUPT your data! SANs are not NAS's. This includes trying to have a backup server to just "read" the data. That is why it is disabled by default to prevent unintended corruption.
