xPression backup plan
I didn't find any useful information regarding xPression server backup plan. In my knowledge any backup plans should consider the xPressionHome folder and the xPression database.
I would like to know more about that and to know how backup / restore plans are implemented in real scenarios.

Introducing a source control step in your document lifecycle would offer some of the benefits that you describe. Storing exports, along with other xPression configuration files, into an "archive" or source control system should be part of a backup plan as well as part of a broader business continuity (disaster recovery) plan.
