SupportAssist won't upgrade for "log4" remediation

I have a client with a PowerEdge T110 and it's out of warranty.  It's running Server 2008R2 if that helps.

With the "log4" vulnerability, I'm trying to upgrade the "Dell SupportAssist Enterprise" utility to the version that was released on 12/23/21.   When I try upgrading it, the upgrade fails with a message about not being able to uninstall the old version.  If I try to first uninstall the existing (old) version, I get ""Error applying transforms. Verify that the specified transform paths are valid".  I ran "sfc /scannow" which did find and fix some system issues but I still can't uninstall the existing version to then install the new one.
