Solution required for Digital Asset Management

Hi All,

We are a research university based out of Saudi Arabia and looking to find the right solution for our Digital Assets Management. Most assets are videos and high resolution images and many are over 5-10 GB in size. Issue is our local EMC support (Account Manager) hasn't been able to help us in providing the right info or the right contact to help evaluate our requirement and provide a solution road map. Ofcourse we are not asking this to be done for free but basic queries are not getting through and we are not getting any answers.

While complaining about the local support (based out of Saudi Arabia)is not our objective, please can someone provide us the contact in EMC EMEA that can guide us through.

My other questions is what is the approach taken by others here to handle their Digital and Media assets(esp when each asset of size 5-10 GB)? Is it a custom solution? Initially we looked at Authoring Integrations Services, which apparently has been phased out and now we are looking at My Documentum for Desktop (with File Sharing Services bundled in). Any guidance in this regard will be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

I would take a look at http://www.picturepark.com from Switzerland. It is a Digital Asset Management solution which does not limit in terms of filesize. It is an out of the box solution incl. lots of optional modules. Still, the support is provided from Switzerland througout the world.
