SMI-S freezing on use of dv

I am attempting to add a VNX and also remove another VNX which is already discovered.  When the new VNX was added, it did not appear.  I attempted to restart the system by killing ECOM -d and spld and after I restarted the dv command in TestSmiProvider is not getting past the version information.  Can anyone help me get this moving again?
