r720 S110 and PERC H710 Issues

So I have an r720 with the integrated S110 RAID controller and I'm attempting to use a PERC H710 instead of the integrated controller - basically so I can use the 3.5" SAS drives as I don't want to buy 8 3.5" SATA drives to be able to use the integrated controller. My issue now is the system software (BIOS, iDrac, LifeCycle, etc) is to the newest versions, when you boot the system with the H710 installed the pre boot shows the pci controller but then fails and halts the system.

Is it possible to add the H710 to this system or not because of the integrated controller?
