Profile dates
I just noticed that the date on my profile shows as the date I signed up on ECN. Now that we have merged the two systems, would it make sense for the profile date for existing users to reflect the original date they signed up for the Support Forums?
Personally I tend to look at this as a determination of how long people have been involved in the community (assuming it is someone I'm not familiar with). Was this considered and rejected? In the works? Or just missed?
Thoughts anyone?

Hi Allen,
It was somewhere in between considered/rejected and missed.
When we were mapping the fields for the migration, we decided to touch the pre-existing destination data (i.e., on ECN) as little as possible - this means that if you already were ECN registered, that date was the date you kept.
I will look into this - we have some other date issues Jorg identified that need to be resolved, and maybe it can be handled together...
Thanks,
Erich

I for one think most people would be impressed that I have posted over 1500 times in the forums in two months...
... on second thought that could work against me if my boss saw that. I may have a hard time explaining what I have been doing for the past two months. Yes, I prefer having my start date on the forums applied to my ECN profile.

Thanks Erich,
Glad to hear it is at least being considered. I for one would definitely vote for showing the original date. If there are users out there that were signed up for ECN first, they should get to keep the ECN date, but for the many users migrated who were already members of ECN, I think it should reflect their "overall experience" in the community.
I understand this takes time though, so for now I'll wait patiently. This certainly isn't the top priority.

1500 posts in 2 months? That is close to nothing, IMHO.
I do have some 7000 posts since Nov 5th
