KM636 Keyboard / Mouse Kit - Keyboard LEDs Always Off
Hello!
I bought a KM636 Kit and noticed that the LEDs on the keyboard went up when I pressed one of their respective keys (Caps Lock, Num Lock and Scroll Lock), but after a few seconds they went out.
I researched a lot and the most likely cause is that Dell itself introduced this behavior in the latest version of the Dell Universal receiver firmware (1.4.1.3, A03), to decrease battery consumption.
I understand that the leds need to be lit to fulfill their function. If they are always off, what are they for?
So, at the very least, I understand that Dell should provide the users with the option to choose which behavior suits them best.
I contacted Dell support but the only response I received is that nothing is going to change. That they have no action to help me.
Therefore, I would like to know if anyone has the previous version of the firmware to provide me, so that I can install it.
Best regards,
Marcio
