How to know there is new/changed content ?
I am having hard time figuring out how to know if there is new/changed content in a specific category. Let's take Clariion for example. I login to Support Forums and all i see on the left is all the different forums, how do i know which ones have new threads, changed threads ? Do i have to click on every single category i am interested in (Clariion , Celerra ..etc) to find out if there is something new ? Assuming i don't have email notification how do i do that ? In the old forum you could clearly see the red "ball" which indicated there was something new, what about now ?
Thanks

Hi,
as far as I can see, that's the only way to figure out if there is something new
In addition, you'll have to switch to discussion view, and have a close look on bold/unbold entries.
Not very much fun any longer, to be honest

dynamox - does the new default view in this forum help at all?
As for what we've gained, beyond the ones you listed, are:
Many of the things we've "lost" are really here in a new way (like read/unread, the answered icon) but we can, and plan to, improve on them.
Other things that have changed, like how the forums were consolidated, can be managed and re-engineered, but we need consensus.
What else have we lost? I'm sure I missed something.

Hi,
I wish I could, but I can't do anything else than agreeing with you
I definitely share your experience of wasting time, and I'm considering to end my career as a contributor.
So far, I've replied to one question, and it took me several minutes to actual find that thread the next day.
Would be interesting to see what other top contributors think?
I believe that Neeraj has been expressing something of this somewhere else
Let's hope that tthere will be some major improvements, quickly.

Here's some lost functionality I neglected to list (from dynamox): that there's no way to see at the upper levels that there's unread content within a forum. In the old forums, this was indicated with the same colored dot that indicated a specific thread was unread.
UPDATE: added this detail to our /;
