Dell Ispiron 1545 no wireless

I have a netgear usb wifi. I can install the software using the disc and plug it in. I get a wifi signal but on internet. I know the netgear works because I tried it on another computer. I even put my other wifi usb and got the same. Is there anyone knows how to fix it
