checkpoint
I am scheduling 7 day checkpoints for my cifs shares. Do I have to create as dbcifs_1, and add these at names dbcifs_2.........dbcifs_7 or the VNX itself creates naming at end if I give as dbcifs ??

VNX will take care of the naming convention itself, it will add _001, _002 ..etc

What is difference between Checkpoint directory name Time Based and Relative Prefix ???

Naming method for the checkpoint schedule.
Select a naming method for this checkpoint schedule. The Time-based option generates a CVFS name based on its creation time while the Relative Prefix option allows for a customized CVFS name. If you select the Relative Prefix option, type the customized relative prefix.
The customized relative prefix must be a PFS-wide unique string and can contain up to 20 ASCII characters. The prefix must not include intervening spaces, colons (:), or slashes (/).
