Alienware M15X screen

Bit of an older  computer I know but does anyone know how I may be able to fix this issue my screen lights up to a gray colour all the keys light up the alien head sometimes lights up not always cab scroll and NUM lock All appear to work it’s just the screen I just want to get into the computer to see what kind of shape it is and if anyone has a quick fix that does not involve plug it into an external monitor please let me know
