Alienware 17

I have recently come into possession of an alienware 17 laptop. The battery seems dead as it could only turn on with power connected. Now it won't even turn on. The power cord still has the green light on when i have it connected but nothing from the laptop. Taking the battery out of this machine seems very very tricky even by watching YouTube videos. Anyone can help???
