XP Mass Storage Drivers for Exx30 series

Question

Hi,

I was hoping someone could advise on which XP mass storage drivers should be used on the Latitude Exx30 series laptops?

We are expecting some eval units in the next week or two, so i am preparing our SCCM environment for the introduction of these models.

Hi there,

You'll want to use the following driver for RAID:

Driver: Intel(R) ICH7R/DH SATA RAID Controller (version 11.0.0.1032)

Model: Intel(R) Mobile Express Chipset SATA RAID Controller

You'll want to use the following driver for AHCI:

Driver: Intel(R) ICH7R/DH SATA AHCI Controller (version 11.0.0.1032)

Model: Intel(R) 7 Series Chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller

Hi Dustin,

I have used the drivers you suggested, however, a still get a BSOD with 0x7b stop code on first reboot, prior to mini setup.

I seen a post on these forums, while searching for a solution to this problem, which stated that Dell do not provide Win XP support on these machines, so im wondering whether we will get this working at all. Have asked our own Dell account manager for Dells position on this and am awaiting a response.

Did you experience similar issues during OSD using these drivers or did they just work?

The Exx30 laptops are supported on XP.
