WinPE4.0 fails on Optiplex 780

We have SCCM 2012 SP1 and when attempting OSD on a 780 it fails.  Just after it has downloaded the boot.wim, has restarted and is initializing WinPE after the Win8 logo appears it reboots.  Pretty sure it is a driver issue (lack of). 

We have OSD working on 755s, 760s various other models but the 780 always fails.  According to Dell we do not need to add any driver support to the WinPE4.0 boot images because they include support for most previous models and indeed it appears true for the most part.

I've gone ahead and tried adding the storage drivers (downloaded from the 780 page) to the boot.wim but it made no difference.  Still the same behavior.  We have tested the hard drive in a 760 and it imaged fine so confident that it is a storage controller driver issue.

Ideas?
