warranty report

tried importing the rdl's into ssrs. Here's what I get: The report definition is not valid. Details: The report definition has an invalid target namespace 'http://schemas.microsoft.com/sqlserver/reporting/2008/01/reportdefinition' which cannot be upgraded. (rsInvalidReportDefinition)

so in other words, the reports were created using VS2008, and the reporting services we use are 2005. So no backwards compatibility.

smykowski,

Thanks for the feedback. I'll send it to the dev team for verification of the requirements.

Can i just install the warranty report item? I keep getting a error when I try Error 27519 error updating XML file
E:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Configuration Manager\AdminUI\XmlStorage\Extensions\Actions\7ba8bf44-2344-4035-bdb4-16630291dcf6\Dell_SccmPlugin_AMTPluginMenu.xml

I do NOT have that file to update.

I guess I need to install more than just the admin console and the warranty?

BTW if it works how do I find the info? A report?

Do you know if you had the Dell_SccmPlugin_AMTPluginMenu.xml file before you installed? error updating a file that i don't have.

from the dev team...2008 is the expected platform, but there is a Dell_Warranty table that can be used to write your own report, by those on an earlier version.

no, we didn't have any dell plugin prior to the installation. you didn't have the DCDP or anything installed did you? Make sure you don't have the Intel AMT option selected during install. I can't find that file on my server either.

Hi all hope you can help here.

For some reason the application isn't pulling all the information. It manages to pick up the system and the ship date but no warranty start or end dates.
Anyone else experiencing the same?

Mine isn't working either, looks like the data isn't being populated in the database.
