Really complicated to download Dell updates these days

I find it really complicated to get all the latest updates for a Dell system these days, see an example with a Latitude E6420 (applicable to a few different models we own) :

I tried to use Dell Client System Update, I ran it three times (without installing anything) and it gave me different drivers every time and even different versions of the BIOS!!! I couldn't get the most recent version of the BIOS to show up any more so I gave up... (see pictures below)

If I go on the website, if I choose to show the "filtered driver results for your service tag", it doesn't show any BIOS update, if I show all drivers then there is a BIOS but I have to check what drivers are needed or not, that is a pain! (see pictures below)

I thought downloads.dell.com would be a more reliable (if somewhat annoying as you can't filter by OS) and up to date repository but it's not up to date for the E6420...

Can Dell please get their things together, invest some time in fixing their drivers catalog and make Dell Client System Update a reliable and easy way to update drivers ?

Dell has very good software features such as deployment driver cabs, Unified Live cycle controller, OpenManage System Administrator and Essentials but updating our client systems is very important (and they will bother you with it every time you make a call to Dell support) so give us a decent software to do it already!!!

N.B. The pictures didn't come up, I'll post them if asked/necessary...

Can you share the screenshots and also the IP address of downloads.dell.com?

IP for downloads.dell.com is 194.78.100.32 (which seems to be owned by the main national isp, I don't know if it's a proxy or Dell has servers hosted with them for Belgium...)

Here come the pictures (it's a pain to upload them 1 by 1 and lose even more time than I already did...)

Hi,

Can you share the activity log from DCSU?

You can refer the DCSU User Guide ftp:/ftp.dell.com/Manuals/all-products/esuprt_electronics/esuprt_software/esuprt_client_sys_mgmt/esuprt_client_sys_mgmt_clnt_sys_update/dell-clnt-systm-update-v1.3_User's%20Guide_en-us.pdf" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">ftp://ftp.dell.com/Manuals/all-products/esuprt_electronics/esuprt_software/esuprt_client_sys_mgmt/esuprt_client_sys_mgmt_clnt_sys_update/dell-clnt-systm-update-v1.3_User's%20Guide_en-us.pdf for creating activity log.

Thanks,

Here is the activity log for another (my own) E6420, you can see that yesterday 4 updates were found that I didn't install and today no updates were detected.
