omci 8 and alerts
HI
Is there any documentation regarding how omci 8 deals with msgbox alerts or more specifically disabling individual alerts
Omci 7 had MaxDisplayNotifications=0 with in Dell_IndicationStaticValues I have found DCIM_AlertIndicationSettingData but it doesn’t seem to behave in the same way

Now is it me being dumb or does this documentation still talk about the Dell_IndicationStaticValues class, I can’t seem to find it under root\dcim\sysman

I received clarification from the dev team...
MaxDisplayNotifications isn't used with OMCI 8.x as it doesn't use pop-ups for notification. Notifications are only listed in the Event Viewer.

So you are saying the OMCI information in the reference guide is wrong? Even after nearly 3 months?
Examples:
"When an alert is generated, OMCI supports three types of notification:
NT event log
Remote
Console"
"MaxDisplayNotifications, and the OccurrencesCount properties, which control the number of notices of each alert condition that are sent to the NT event log and to the local display."
and plenty of other references to "MaxDisplayNotifications".

FYI...OMCI 8.1 released today. I haven't checked the OMCI 8.1 docs to see if this is addressed.
