Issues on Windows 8.1 Enterprise on XPS12 (9Q33)
Hi all,
We are deploying Windows 8.1 Enterprise on XPS 12 (9Q33). Unfortunately we have some issue on drivers. We deploy Windows 8.1 through Windows Deployment Server. I have installed and update Windows ADK for Windows 8.1, Download WinPE 5.0 drivers, XPS12(9Q33) drivers for Windows 8.1 x64 and import them to Out-of-Box Drivers, and manage the folder structure and naming properly.
And then on my task sequence, I have add a task sequence variable to grab drivers based on the computer model number
And then Inject Drivers from profile "Nothing" and choose "Install all drivers from the selection profile".
Those 2 task sequence combinations will push XPS12 drivers to the computer properly. But unfortunately every time I reboot the system, it will randomly crashed when it is idle for 5 minutes. After few researches, my conclusion is to do following:
- Disable Intel SpeedStep on BIOS Setup to prevent Kernel issue
- Reinstall Intel Rapid Storage Tech drivers
- Reinstall Intel Management Engine Component drivers
- Reinstall Intel Graphics Driver to prevent ifgfx issue
- Reinstall NXP Proximity Installer (NFC driver) to prevent NXP system crashed.
- Reinstall TouchPad drivers.
I have checked on device manager before reinstalling drivers listed above and all devices are installed properly. But it always crashed after it idles for few minutes. Once I reinstall those drivers listed above, the XPS 12 works completely fine and fast.
I'm just wondering, did I deploy this system wrong? or is there an issue on Windows Driver Cab file for XPS 12 - 9Q33 (version A00)?
