Internet Explorer 32-bit crashes in Optiplex 990 Windows 7 x64

I am using MDT 2010 Update 1. I have successfully deployed D830, E6500, E6510, O980, and E6520 with the same image: Windows 7 x64. My Optiplex 990s have this odd behavior with IE 8. IE 8 32-bit will only browse https sites. Http sites crash IE8 32-bit. IE8 64-bit can browse http and https.. Since this is a new deployment I doubt that it's an AV issue like others have reported. My Optiplex 980 work fine. I have tried many of the fixes recommended on the Internet, but no luck. I did capture the original image from a E6520 so I wonder if I need to deploy a .wim from the DVD or capture a .wim from a 990? Thank you.

I've heard of this issue from others and have reported it to the support teams. You should open a ticket with them so that they are aware that it is impacting you also.

your problem is caused by the display driver. It's faulty in this .cab pack. Install the display driver from the dell support site manually and it'll be fixed.

Yes, I saw a post on a Microsoft Deployment Forum that pointed me in that direction. I was having problems replying to my earlier post that day and forgot to come back to try again. Thanks for the follow-up. I downloaded the Combo Pac .cab which had a earlier driver. I am all set. Thanks so much to Dell for providing the driver files. I can deploy a new Dell in just a few minutes with the extracted driver files. Glad I was able to resolve the problem. What a bugger it was.
