How to OSD on the older Latitude's ?

We have recently setup SCCM 2012 here.

In the old 2007 environment, we didn't have a "golden image" for our Operating Systems, but we had an image per model.

It worked, but took alot of effort to maintain.

In the SCCM 2012 system, we have golden images for:
Windows 7 x86
Windows 7 x64
Windows XP SP3 x86

So, I have pinpointed all of our models (ie the new OptiPlex 7010, which still is a mess, and im waiting for an answer in this forum as well...)
I have some issues however with the old Latitudes: Latitude D620 and Latitude D430

They seem to run in native IDE mode, and it's not possible to change the SATa operation in BIOS.

So, how do I deploy Windows XP on these particular machines?
I use the "XP Combo Cab" package for these, but I cannot choose the correct mass store driver list in my Task Sequence.

I've manually checked which driver I should use with a "Driver Extractor".
I found out that these are being used on a fully functional Windows XP system:

D620:
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_27C4.DeviceDesc="Intel(R) 82801GBM/GHM (ICH7-M Family) Serial ATA Storage Controller - 27C4"

D430:
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_27DF.DeviceDesc="Intel(R) 82801G (ICH7 Family) Ultra ATA Storage Controllers - 27DF"

How do I point out these particular drivers as mass store drivers?

The Dx20 and older do not need a mass storage driver specified.  See note at the top of the Mass Storage Reference page here -> en.community.dell.com/.../2561.operating-system-deployment-xp-mass-storage-driver-reference.aspx

Okay Warren,

then why does the machines keep BSOD'ing even though I don't specify a mass storage driver in the task sequence?

Any suggestion on how to get these machines to work...

The ref. image is built in vmware once upon a time, if that helps.

What's the BSOD error?

Hard to tell... as it just flashes by, followed by a reboot.

Then the http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/Bb457123.f29zs01_big%28l=en-us%29.jpg or similar pops up..
