help with Dell e6420 & Exx20 laptops
Hi All,
We use MDT2010 Update1 we have injected the drives for the e6420 from the dell drive pack site, but fails to boot into windows with a BSOD when set to ACHI before install, however after the install when selected from BIOS ATA and RTTT it works fine?
I managed to install xpsp3 from a MS cd from scratch and picked the driver manually (f6) which works "PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1C03&CC_0106.DeviceDesc = "Intel(R) Mobile Express Chipset SATA AHCI Controller""
which the is the driver injected specifically for that model and it works. also checked with dells windows 7 preinstall which maches.
But can be doing manual installs need to use my .wim created which works on all exx10 laptops and current desktops. but not these
new dell Exx20 range as we have a e6320 and e6220 all showing the same problems.
Any help will be appreicated.
