Hello, and thank you for providing this resource.
Here's what Im running into ....A USB driver fight resulting in BSOD on 9010aio's:
Environment: Using WDWorkbench\MDT2012 and just the 9010aio A04 and 9020aio A03 cabs and injecting those drivers into a Win7-SP1 (x86) wim that also injects the UserMode Driver and Kernel Mode Driver Frame work version 1.11 during the process...
When the image is deployed using lite-touch the 9010AIO BSOD's. The 9020aio is fine.
I believe I've narrowed down the problem to the two different USB3 drivers that Intel provides in these two systems (one for Chipset8/9020 and another for Chipset7/9010).
I've tried injecting both the driver Dell provides through the cabs (2.0.0.102) and the drivers available from Intel (2.5.3.34) with the same results. I've also picked the latest Chipset suite from Intel (9.4) and tried injecting those just in case there was some odd interaction with the versions in the cabs. No go on that; BSOD still occurs.
I don't think this is Dell's fault, but I'm hoping you could help.
For now, my workaround is to copy the 9020aio USB drivers to a temp directory and on the image and execute PNPutil.exe -I -a c:\temp\drivers\name_of_inf.inf
Thank you for any insight.

Yes, if you are trying to consolidate those USB drivers into a single package you will experience issues as other customers have seen. You can either separate your driver packages or run the driver installer later (as you are doing). Our component teams are aware of this and are working with the vendor to address it, but I don't have any info on when that may happen.
