Driver CAB file - Help with New Driver Release

I am populating my MDT drivers with system cab files and notice a few of them show yellow in the status saying there is a New Driver Release on Support.dell.com. I'm still new to this, so this may sound silly. Where is this updated driver exactly and how do I import said driver into my MDT environment? I have tried going to the drivers page of my OptiPlex model in question and I'm not sure if this is where I'm supposed to find it. I downloaded the driver and extract the files. Sometimes it doesn't work that way; for example chipset drivers let me extract them, but then there is a setup.exe file that I try to get the inf drivers out of but I have never had that work. So what do you typically do, when you see a new driver in the CAB status list. Here is what I'm looking at: http://en.community.dell.com/techcenter/enterprise-client/w/wiki/5004.optiplex-9020-windows-8-1-driver-cab.aspx

The yellow items on the "Delta Report" show what has been updated since the last version of the CAB.  It does not mean you need to get a new version of the driver.  A full explanation is found here -> http://en.community.dell.com/techcenter/enterprise-client/w/wiki/4884.driver-cabs-understanding-delta-reports.aspx

Is the following a solution for you?

1. i only use this site so don't know if the are the same.

2. Did not check if it was on there but this is what i found; http://ftp.dell.com/published/Pages/optiplex-9020-desktop.html and seeing a bios version from 5-8 this year i think it is updated.

3. is this any help on your mdt issue? http://scriptimus.wordpress.com/2012/06/18/mdt-powershell-importing-drivers/

1. Are those pretty much the same files you can find by visiting the product's drivers page? 2. I didn't see the OptiPlex 9020 on there. 3. If they are the same as the drivers page for the product, it still leaves me in the dark as to how to import the driver into my MDT folder for said model. Thanks again.

The product webpage has a newer chipset version than the FTP site. It shows as Version 9.5.15.1730, A02. The sciptimus site points out the same issue I'm seeing as MDT cannot extract drivers from an EXE; only cab files. Interesting side note - I was poking around on the product page and noticed that under the Systems Management node, it had an updated CAB version that was released about 2 weeks ago. This might have what I need in it. I will poke around some more on that FTP site and see what else is there that I can use. Thanks!

Ah, I see now!  I swear I read that report before but maybe I just didn't really know what I was looking at.

Thank you.
