i have tested new cab driver for E6420 windows 7. and it works. the TPM went back to old dated 2006, but aleast it is not conflicting. I had run MBAM and seems like working fine. So i am guessing new cab driver for e6420, dell took TPM driver and so it can use windows driver. works for me...

Delete the device and it should find the Microsoft default driver that works best with Bitlocker. We are working on removing the Broadcom TPM drivers from the CABs as most customer prefer the inbox driver for Bitlocker compatibility.

And the other part, this doesn't work in Windows 8.1 either....so remove out of there too.

well, thats i have told to my regional site support people to remove it and it will detect and pick up tmp.sys dated 2006. but i have over 75 of these models all over the region. so, what file should take it out in cab to not install your driver for this TPM.

We have not been able to reproduce in our tests. Could you please confirm if you are using this revision of the driver pack http://downloads.dell.com/FOLDER01856667M/1/E6420-win7-A11-Y000K.CAB ?
On the affected systems post-OSD, are you seeing a yellow bang (no driver found for TPM microchip) or do you see a non-Microsoft driver getting installed? If it's the later case, please send us details around the driver that got installed for the hardware ID you mentioned. Steps to get details are in graphic below

Good to hear that it worked! You can always find the latest driver packs for your system by visiting http://en.community.dell.com/techcenter/enterprise-client/w/wiki/2065.dell-driver-cab-files-for-enterprise-client-os-deployment.aspx
