DCIP v2.0 Installation on SCCM 2007
Hi Eveyone,
I am attempting to install the Dell Client Integration Pack (DCIP v2.0) for SCCM 2007. In the Dell installation Guide and in the "Pre-requisites to Install DCIP" section, it states that "You must install all components of DCIP excluding the Warranty Utility on the same server where ConfigMgr is installed". It does not tell you where to install the Warranty Utility.
For those of you who have installed and configured the Dell Warranty Utility to work, on what server or workstation did you install it on and make it work? Did you install it on a Site server with no ConfigMgr installed and make it work or installed it on a plain Windows 2003 or 2008/R2 server within the SCCM environment?
In the User Guide that comes with DCIP v2.0, it just tells you how to start configuring without telling you on what server to configure it on.
Any information about how to make this Warranty Utility work will be much apprecaited.
Thank you,

Thanks to you Warren for confirming this to me. It got me confused when the installation guide stated that "You must install all components of DCIP excluding the Warranty Utility on the same server where ConfigMgr is installed".
So when I attempt to perform the installation I can select "Complete" install then?
Thank you,

You can install the warranty utility on your site server (many customers do this). The other components of DCIP 2.0 were required to be on the site server, but the warranty utility did not have that requirement.

Yes, the "Complete" installation, should work just fine.
