Chipset Driver update fails on Optiplex 3020

Hi,

I'm trying to install driver updates on a few PCs andI keep getting the following error while updating the driver for "Intel 8 Series Chipset Device Software Driver" - ReleaseID: 6334N - File name: Chipset_Driver_3664N_WN_9.4.0.1027_A03.

The Error I keep getting is "File copying was not successful. Setup will exit." when the installer tries to copy file CSVer.dll to C:\Windows\SysWOW64\CSVer.dll. The funny thing is that the file gets copied everytime yet the installer fails.

Someone suggested online to uninstall KB3126593 but I got the same result even after uninstalling/reboot, etc.

I'm using Dell Command update V2.1.1 to run updates. I get the above error using dcu-cli or GUI.

The system I'm using as lab to reproduce the issue is an Optiplex 3020 with Win 8.1 Pro 64b.

Has anyone experienced this? how can I fix/workaround this problem?

Thanks,

Yes! On every workstation we are touching! Sometimes the KB3126593 update is the problem. Someone also suggested KB3147071, but I have not seen that work yet. I have an OptiPlex 3020 right now that I have uninstalled both KB3126593 and KB3147071 and still cannot install the update. The update takes two seconds, but figuring out how to run it successfully takes days. This is ridiculous and both Dell and Intel seem to have nothing regarding the problem.

Has anyone found a faster workaround?
