CCTK WinPE TPM Activation fails every time

I am currently trying to build a task sequence using SCCM 2012 utilising the new BitLocker Pre-Provisioning feature.  I have followed steps where you can use CCTK within WinPE to create a BIOS Password, Enable TPM, Activate TPM and then remove the BIOS password.  The first couple of steps work, however, when it comes to actually activate the TPM it fails.  The laptop is a Latitude 6410 and I have updated the BIOS to A13.  Each time I try the task sequence I make sure the TPM is not owned so I clear it and I also make sure that there is no password set.

The only way to activate the TPM is to manually go into the BIOS and activate it, which is ridiculous in an enterprise environment!  The whole point in the Pre-Provisioning step is to encrypt the drive before Windows is installed thus completing the encryption process a lot quicker.

From reading other previous posts, it seems that this is a common problem which needs resolving.  Has anyone come across this problem and actually resolved it????

I have found the answer which I am really surprised about.  If you remove the '=' after valsetuppwd and before the BIOS password it works!  so it should be written like this:

cctk.exe --tpmactivation=activate --valsetuppwd [BIOS Password]

Obviously this may be different for other models or BIOS versions but it works!

Hello,

It is possible to Activate TPM remotely.

Can you please check the steps mentioned in the video and see if something is missing.

Please let us know if any further assistance is required.

I have tried that solution on my e6410 and e6510, is there anything else that can be tried? I have fully upgraded the bios to the latest. Any suggestions?
