cctk - Error in Setting the Value
Hi all. I'm new here. I can't seem to set a system password for my laptop. I'm testing the SCE package created using CCTK to create a system password so that every time a password is required before the OS can load. But I can't seem to set the password in.
If the SCE package works, I plan to deploy it to all laptops in my company. Below is the log created when testing the SCE

Hi Techsols,
The use-case being tried should work without any hassles.
Can you please update the BIOS and try once?
Also, can you please let me know the system model that is being used and BIOS version?

Hi Techsols,
Lets make sure if admin password (Setup pwd) is set on the system and while generating SCE we need to pass the admin password also in a pop up window or else we will come with same Error messageonly in case of fail in passing admin password.
If still facing the issue means please share the System model and BIOS version.
Thanks,
Keerthan

Hi all,
My supervisor has asked me not to update the BIOS as the staff in the company uses different model laptops. It is difficult to mass deploy BIOS updates since all the laptops are different.
The current laptop I'm testing this system password is Dell Vostro 3460, BIOS version A15, 8/3/2013.
Any work-around this problem is greatly appreciated.
Currently, I'll try using CCTK in cmd mode. Hopefully it works.

Hi all,
False alarm. I found out that CCTK doesn't support Vostro models. Will try find a work-around. At the mean time, I hope Dell can update the CCTK to support Vostro models.
Thanks all!
