Bypassing UEFI

I have a Dell Inspiron Desktop that came pre-installed with Windows 8.  I need to blast away Windows 8 in favour of installing Windows Server (use if for a fax server - not a domain controller) on it.  When I try to install, UEFI gets in the way and disallows access to boot the installation disc.  I know Dell doesn't support this, but it needs doing.  Any ideas how to fresh install Windows Server on this workstation?
