Accelerometer Driver "accelern.inf" causes XP mini-setup to hang
I am rebuilding my Windows XP 32bit SP3 image and noticed today that my images have been hanging during mini-setup on the latitude E5520 and E6320 and never complete the mini-setup. i finally narrowed the problem down to the Accelerometer driver accelern.inf i have tried using the latest version (DriverVer=07/22/2011,1.00.00.19 A10) but still had no luck. I have done some reading and it looks like this has been a very common problem since the latitude E4310 and E6510 and it looks like it has still not been resolved with the new generation laptops.
Does anyone know of a way to solve this issue or a workaround?

I've seen issues with the Free Fall sensor, but haven't seen it hang up mini-setup.

I noticed that the mini-setup hang when I used ST Microelectronics System accelern.inf 1.00.00.19 which was included in A01 version of the E6320 driver cab.
I have now replaced the driver with ST Microelectronics System accelern.inf 1.00.00.15 and now it works good. Bios version of this machine is A05.
I have now upgraded to A07 but the problem persist.
