How have you architected Ring Deployment of Drivers & BIOS Updates? (DELL Command Update)
Hi all,
we already heavily use Ring Deployments but today we haven't seen an easy option for driver ring deployment.
How do you ease up your ring deployment?
- DELL Command Update and/or
- MS Intune
Best regards

Assuming there will be several ways to achieve that and others may chime in and present their approach.
My suggestion would be to leverage Custom Update Catalog within TechDirect. You can create catalogs and there are two states "Test" & "Production". For these states you have the option to download the catalog seperately and use them with DCU. Basically, you would assign the Test Catalog to your Canaries & Early Adopters. Once everything is fine you would promote that catalog to Production after some time and assign the catalog to the rest of your fleet.
Then on your monthly or quarterly cadence you would create a new draft from this production catalog. If needed, you would review & modify the new draft and promote it to the Test catalog etc. And the cycle starts again.
As you can see from screenshot below Production catalog is on version 1.0, while the test catalog is already on 2.0.

Thanks for your infos. Think, we need to investigate more into TechDirect features.
