Dear Peter,
Thank you for contacting the dedicated Out of Warranty forum for PowerEdge products. We have sent you a private message on the forum in order to get the Service Tag of your PowerEdge Server.
Kind Regards,
Rakesh Kumar

I have received the email but am unable to answer it because it is a 'no reply' email! How am I meant to get this issue resolved if I have to use a forum which takes hours to reply and then makes us try and find a personal message on the forum?? Please can someone just email me in the 'normal' manner so that I can give the details requested back and then arrange an engineer as soon as possible? My email address is *********************** The information requested in the email is shown below, I'm losing faith in this getting resolved in a reasonable time, very frustrating....
The details for our Dell server are as shown below:
DELL PowerEdge 2950
Service Tag: XXXXXXX
Virtual Disk 0 Degraded
RAID-1
Physical Disk 0:0:0 Failed
SAS 67.75GB
DELL Model:S********S
RevS:52A 3*****D
Year Manufactured: 2009
SAS Address: 5**************D
Our server has a mirrored pair of SAS drives for C:\System and one has failed (Physical Disk 0:0:0).
The problem was noticed last Monday
Our production is not impacted but if the remaining drive fails then it will be.
Please can you provide a quote for repair and an estimate for when you can attend if the quote is accepted.

Apologies for the confusion here. Usually, if the ticket raised in the Forum is actioned or updated you will receive a mail from no_reply, which is a automated Community Notification. However we did send you an email requesting for the service tag.
With regards to the issue that you have reported, PowerEdge 2950 is a legacy server, which is End of Life. We regret to inform that we do not procure or stock these parts anymore. We would request you to contact any of the local vendor for the same.
Regards
Rakesh Kumar
