Dell poweredge R510 - Chassis Intrusion & Hot swap hard drives
HI all,
Just a query, we have an older Dell Poweredge R510 in our college, all has been absolutely fine with it, but this week we went to put a new hot swap hard drive into one of the 6 free ports, the drive flashed the power light for 1 second then went straight back out, the drives are not detected in Windows/Bios/RAID Bios and we are not sure where the main error on this could be stemming from.
Also, this has now set off the chassis intrusion alarm, so all fans are now running at 10,000rpm and creating a HUGE noise, after going through the bios we cannot find anywhere to reset this, please not the chassis has not been opened in any way shape or form!
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
Tim
