We cannot post passwords in a public forum. Please use private channels for this purpose.

So the question is now; who to ask privately for the OVA username and password? Or is Dell not providing this any longer and we have to build our own machine and install ECS-Sync? Im just looking to try it out...

That would be fine as long as the default password exists in the documentation for the OVA somewhere. Agreed that people will need to change the default password... but not giving it so that the system can be configured seems like a bad business decision

Maybe someone still interested by this weird case (provide OVA without root password).
I have found simple solution here: https://www.redhat.com/sysadmin/recover-root-passwd

At the moment, we do not have a publicly available, updated OVA for download. However, we highly recommend installing ecs-sync on a CentOS 7 VM/container. There are scripts to make this quite easy, and instructions available on the wiki.
