Upgrading from DiskXtender 5.6 to 6.1 with new server and archive drives
We currently have DiskXtender 5.6 on our file server which archives data to a NAS appliance. We shortly will have new servers installed in our organisation and the NAS will be removed from our network.
How do we migrate the data from the NAS to the new File storage?
So effectively we want to migrate all the data from DiskXtender archive back to our live system, then setup our new server including DiskXtender 6.1 then start migrating data from scratch.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Best regards,
Mark

The EMC DiskXtender for Windows Server Migration Utility
enables you to migrate a DiskXtender installation from one server to
another. You can migrate to a server with more memory, a faster
processing speed, or one with a different operating system. You can
also upgrade to a more recent DiskXtender release at the same time.
After the migration you'd configure new media groups and move rules and then run a 'Compaction' operation on the NAS media. The files will 'remigrate' to new media.
