Running CHKDSK on a Dx ED
Can or should you ever run CHKDSK on an extended drive? What would happen if errors were encountered
and CHKDSK attempts to "fix" the problem?

hello dave,
can you run CHKDSK ? Yes
Should you run it ? if your Windows OS experiences a problem, you can use the Chkdsk disk repair utility , otherwise why to do so ??

Thanks Yousef.. I have a client that called and said they had a problem on one of three extended drive. They had to (I dont have details why)
launch a CHKDSK. 6 hours latter it is still running I've never used CHKDSK on an ED so I had no first hand experience.
Thanks
Dave

Dave, for my case the disk was migrated to diffrent array an needs a CHDSK , did he start it with recovery console ? or from windows ?
in my case it took 1 day or more , so i recommed to start it from windows to avoid any downtime ..
good luck ,and update me with the status..
