Options for indexing content moved by DX

Anyone know of options to index content that was on a Celera that was moved to a Centera via DX for NAS? Any software that's not in control of the documents (like a full-fledged CMS) and using the Centera API seems like it would cause content to be re-retrieved and stored on the Celera which is not ideal.
