File Systems isn't show the data

Hi,

I hope someone can help us.

A few months ago, we install Diskxtender for UNIX/Linux in a Linux Redhat 3.0, for this reason, the DiskXtender version was 3.0.The goal is that the costumer need to move images to a Centera.

We start the install and configuration, installing DX, initialize the filesytems to manage, create rules tu move and purge info, etc. DX start to migrate and purge the info without any problem, the files migrated can be retrieved and all of it.

The problem is the next one:

* After we applied the configuration, we don't make a backup of all the configuration of DX and the shortcuts or stub files in the filesystems.

* After two days, the Linux machine freeze, and the costumer assume that a reboot of the machine will solve the problem so they do that.

* In the reboot of the machine, the SO ask for a filesystem check of all the filesystem managed by DX.

* After the Linux initialize, is when the problem starts up, since one of the filesystems managed by DX isn't show any file, like it was empty. The command #df -k show us that this filesystem have occupied the same space before the Linux hang, but any command tried to view the content of the filesystem don't show anything, even the .DMATTR isn't show

* In other filesystem, the .DMATTR file isn't there, but the stub files and other files still there

* And in another filesystems, the .DMATTR and other files doesn't have problem.

There is anyone to know about this behavior that can help us??

It is posible to recover the .DMATTR file from those file systems where was gone but all other files still there??

Why, in the first filesystem I mentioned, doesn't show any file?? There is some way or method to restore the files?? Why the file system still mark that some info is there occupying the space??

The dxuldm_tar command can backup the shortcuts (stub files) and files no migrated or only the files not migrated?? This is for a posibble migration of versions of Linux and DX.

Thank you

Best Regards
