Error code: 16632 (XERR_MEDIA_REMOTE_ACCESS_DENIED)

I am running DiskXtender 2000 version 5.40.102. I have 2 servers, each managing a Plasmon jukebox. Server A is the main storage server. Server B contains a backup copy of each disk. Backups are run every night from Server A to Server B. I keep getting error code 16632 when trying to access the copy disk on the batckup server. The error indicates that "Access was denied to the copy media on the remote server"....Everything I see on both servers indicates that the disks are online and that I can connect to both server from each other fine. How do I resolve this type of error????? Help???????

Has this ever worked? It sounds like it may be some kind of service on the backup server that needs to be running. Possibly the Remote Registry Service. I personally haven't seen this error message before.

Verify the Remote Registry Service is running, and double-check the service account running DiskXtender and MediaStor on your primary server, and verify that service account is the same one being used on the backup MediaStor server. If it isn't the same account, you can edit the service account, or verify that the service account used by the primary server is a part of the MS Administrators and MS Users groups on the backup MediaStor Server.

This was extremely helpful. Yes it did work at one point, but the server died and was rebuilt. The Remote Registry service was using the local system account. I changed that to a domain account setup specifically to run services and the problem cleared. Thank you very much!
