DXSpy and DXSpyRec filter drivers
In an attempt to restore some media, I kept getting the "...Error code: 87 (ERROR_INVALID_PARAMETER)" in the media log after the file restore task failed.
I started a chat with the support team and they were able to resolve this issue by disabling the DxSpy and DxSpyRec filter drivers, having me reboot the server, re-enabling the filter drivers, rebooting the server again for the changes to take effect, and then completing the file restore task.
I have users who keep receiving "failed to open as a foregin file" erros when trying to access the images stored on the media
My first question is, why are the filter drivers continually failing to monitor the extended drive and I have to disble/re-enable for the file restore task to complete successfully?
My second question is, am I going to have to constantly monitor this or if I do a file restore on all my media (116) after disabling/re-enabling the DxSpy drivers will this clear up the confusion in DX and allow for proper data retrieval?
