DiskXtender: scripted meta-data backup

I have DX installed and would like to use a command-line to "Forcing a meta-data export" or a "registry export" which I can enter into Legato NetWorker for backup.

Background is that Legato doesn't run the backup of a server at specific times (at least at the customer's site). On the other hand, I need to get an application (EmailXtender) in suspend mode so that the mail information is altered (using pre/post-command of Legato). Hence, I'd like to script the DX "meta-data export" as well to run while EmailXtender is suspending...
