DiskXtender Orphaned Files
Hi,
We have just started to use DiskXtender to archive file data from out production SAN to an archive NAS unit.
However, when we try to run the archive rules (move rules) messages are logged
MSG 16/11 15:36:08 (0BD8) Cannot find media with ID 8 for file D:\DATA\file\etc.jpg (orphaned).
When I look at a successfuly orhpaned file it is on media ID 12.
It seems that media ID 8 refers to the media we used during some of our initial testing, which no longer exists.
The files are present on the SAN, but DX thinks they have already been archived and wont move them to the new media.
Is there any way to reset this file attribute data?
Were a bit stuck at the moment!
Cheers,
Steve

I have moved this question to the DiskXtender Support Forum. This will ensure your question is seen by the right audience in the Support Forums.

I hope you already have this resolved but you should be able to use the DxDmChk utility to clear the file tag path. Then the files should migrate to the new media.
