DiskXtender: Meta-Data Export files larger then size of archive
The size of the Meta-Data exported files is 1Tb which is way more then the size of the files that have been archived (approx 500Gb). Is this correct? and if so why are the files so large?
I have the following export settings:
Schedule: Daily
export dx-managed files (metadataonly) checked
export non dx-managed files(all file data) checked
Also am i able to delete these logs? I dont really want to back them up as its a huge area.
Thanks for your help

Export non dx-managed files(all file data) checked
This means that all data on the Extended Drive will be exported, not just the data that Dx has archived.
Uncheck that option if you only want to export the data that has been archived.
You can delete the *.dxb files that have already been created, then change the setting as described above, and perform a new Meta-Data Export. This one should be much smaller in size.
Hope this helps.
Thanks,

Sizing for meta-data export is documented in Admin guide under the section "Storing metadata exports". In 6.5 admin guide, you can find the thumb rule in page 378.
