DiskXtender for NAS - Migrate files back to primary storage
Hello,
I have a DiskXtender device that is configured to migrate old files from CIFS shares on a Celera to a Centera device.
I am trying to migrate files back to the primary storage (celerra) for one of the CIFS shares.
I have disabled the migration job in DiskXtender for NAS, but I see no way to restore the files.
I have no training on EMC products, this was inhereted from people who have long since sought employment elsewhere.
I poked around in the DiskXtender File System Manager admin console, but I don't even see the EMC equipment listed, only the Windows server that runs the DiskXtender services. There are no extended drives etc, and most options are greyed out. I can see where I can Configure Media Services and create a new extended drive, but I am not certain what this will do (if anything) to our existing configuration and thus have not tried completing this task. It can however, see the Centera device as 'ONLINE'.

You will want to run a PREFETCH task to do this.

Is this a command available on the DiskXtender for NAS application or something else?

Within the Administration, you should be able to right-click on the NAS media item under your Media Groups for the specified extended drive and under the Edit Tasks, you should be able to find the Prefetch task.
