DiskXtender Broken

Sorry, actually the Status is SETTING Offline

Itis listed as OffLine, however Set Online\Set Offline are grayed out and not available.

Thanks for your response. Both are on the same machine and the service account has been set to Local System to no avail. MediaStor looks intact however, no media shows to be online viewed in DX and seemingly no way to acquire it. Any thoughts?

If DX and Media Stor are on the same machine you can set the service account to local system and restart. Let me know if that helps.

Same result, unfortunately. I've been down this route many times. Referencing the installation pdf, (I did not do original install) I see that is setting up the service account in the initial stages of the installation I see that Domain is a specific fill-in-the-blank. It has been suggested that the domain name has been 'embedded' and there may not be a work around to change it.

In the DX admin go to service>Configure Media Service and verify your media service is online. If it is already online I am officially stumped.

No sir, MediaStor sees the juke and all media as online. HPStorageWorks Utilities see the juke in good working order. DX sees no media online.

That explains why the media appears offline in DX. Restart the DX service only. Go back in and check the status.

Perhaps the juke is offline? You can see the status under media stor admin.
Please post details from your DX and media stor error logs.

I don't believe the account has anything to do with this but I could be wrong. Definitely make sure the account matches for both DX and Media Stor services.

If that doesn't help contact support to get help getting the service back online.

Thanks Frank. I don't know if this is corrective action, but I am in the process of doing a fresh install of DX, including removing media from folders, deleting media folder and finallly deleting the extended drive to allow uninstall of the app. Without uninstalling, reinstallation fails on grounds that DX is recognized as installed. I figure that this cannot put me in any worse spot than I already am if I finally have to call support. Management has allowed our maintenance to lapse at this point, so....I'll do what I can before making the $1500 call.
