DiskXtender Administrator connecting

Question

I Upgraded DX 5.6 to 6.00.1, ran patch 07 and 08, rebooted server. I launched DX Administrator, yet it freezes on DXServerName'Connecting' any ideas?

This is most likely some portion of the DiskXtender service trying to initialize. Open events.txt in to see what the last entry is.

Also, check to ensure that your Move Logs aren't extremely large, as it will take Dx a long time to read that information before fully initializing the service. Move Logs can be found .

Additionally, if you are running Dx 6.0 with License Server 5.6, you will see this behavior, because the 2 versions are not compatible.
