DiskXtender 6.3 - Errors cause alerting to go insane

We frequently notice that some errors within DiskXtender generate thousands of error messages, just for the one error. As we have configured alerting to send out the error messages, some mailboxes get flooded, as all of these messages are sent.
Does anyone know if this is as designed, or if there is any way of configuring this so that only one error message is created in case of an error ?
