DiskXtender 6.1 Failover/Disaster Recovery
Hello all,
We are looking for a solution to provide Failover/Diaster Recovery for our DiskXtender setup. With our current setup we have (2) servers with DX 6.1 installed. Our files will be moved to NAS and Retained NAS media. We are looking for a solution that will keep our secondary server up to date with our primary server and to failover if the primary server goes down. Our initial proposal was to use Multi-Target groups to write to both extended drives on the primary and secondary servers. This was not possible due to Multi-Target groups not being able move files to targets on two different servers. Any suggestions with the issue would greatly be appreciated. We are not looking to buy additional software or hardware.

Microsoft clustering in an active\passive configuration
Use Replistor with DiskXtender
Use AutoStart with DiskXtender
All three will allow you to have a Server in waiting so to speak.
If the 2 current servers are in production this will need to be planned very carefully to ensure your data is not compromised.
