Configuring New Media Service - Want to use a local disk.
Hello,
We are configuring an additional Media Service to store information. The storage for the new Media is actually presented to Windows as a large local volume (shows up as a new disk called N:). I assure you this is a volume from a SAN device that is highly redundant and backed up.
My question is, when creating a new Media Service type, your options are:
EMC MediaStor
EMC Centera
Network Attached Storage
Tivoli Storage Manager
and
StoragetTek ACSLS
Would I select "Network Attached Storage", and connect to my media through a UNC path? I can see this may be the only way, but I wanted to make sure I am not doing anything wrong near the beginning of our project.
Thanks much for any responses.
